Exploring Twenty One Pilot

Today, since I studied all day and didn't listen to anything, I asked to Zupo to help me to found something to listen in this night. She told me that she's a real groupie of Twenty one pilot and can't get over it... I'm joking, but she do like the band.

For her, they are a band full circled, and by that, she mean that they have those kind of emotional and relatable lyrics who fit really well with the type music they do, making her want to sing them all the time. She listen to them since 2016, and see most interview they done, so it's not wrong to call her a fan.

As I found' the band from Ohio was formed in 2009 and they're far from stopping. Like the last trend in the domain, they released her last song in date in April 9 of this year for a charity for helping music crew who gain nothing during this pandemic.

The first song she choose me to listen is The Pantaloon from the first album because she found it really emotional. At the time they were only 4 member in the band.

This song was her first favorite song. This have changes since, because it's depend of the mood she's at the moment. That's mostly why she love this band, because their lyrics suit well her feelings and it feel really personal to her. This song in particular make her feel a really peculiar and complex emotion really hard to explain, so I'm not gonna try to interpret it more deeply than that.

She love the song Lovely, for mostly the same reason, adding that she like the Techno aspect of this song, and the fact that we can ear Donald Duck in it...

Continuing on our conversation, Zupo tell me her appreciation of the band progression. In the third album, you can see that they improve in every way, and with that, they where becoming more famous. At the 4th album, they where fully recognize in the industry. 

To represent this 3rd album, She choose the song Migraine, and it's quietly an interesting choice. It remember me the band Ok Go in some aspect, but I let you decide of it...

     The next one is no surprise, even for me. The song Stressed Out, hit deeply not only in the fan base, but also broadly in radios and talk shows. This subject of stress and distress really speak by himself.

Her last choice (not really, but 5 is enough long to write about) Chlorine. She like this song because it get a totally different vibe. At first she was not really into it, but with time she learn to appreciate it, especially the back vocal. once again, she really appreciate the poetry of it.
