Decade, best of The high Kings

Sunday for me is Synonym of Irish folk. Thanks To Bill and Imelda, quo-host of the Sunday show on LiveIreland who make a great animation in the chat, even if I don't speak much. For Those who want to hear it, it's around 1 p.m. in Quebec, maybe 6 p.m. for our readers in Spain.

And since we are Sunday, I chose to make a Review of an Irish Album I own, entitled Decade, best of the High Kings. The Album is out in 2017 and fore some reason it's classified as pop music on google, but don't be fooled, every song is rooted in the Irish folk tradition.

Before talking about the music, let me tell you about about the album in question. I had to order it without seeing it and for my surprise, The CD's album is not a cheap plastic case, but a little black book, soft under the fingers. The quality of this album is really enjoyable for peoples like me who take pleasure in discovering those details; the straight line in a woodwork of a carpenter, the small brushstroke of a painter, the craftsmanship of a master. The quality of this album give me the impression to own something precious. In the other hand, if you want to put in a CD's rack, it won't fit in...

Speaking of precious thing, I appreciated every song in this album. You gonna tell me that's because it's a best of, but i let you know that in every compilation i listened so far, i disliked a quarter if not the third of the songs of those albums. Putting the song Rocky Road To Dublin right at the beginning of the album was a bold choice, creating a really festive atmosphere. The choice of this first song is not something random. Even when I was a neophyte, this song was an emblem for this musical genre. it was everywhere I search for Irish music and rightfully loved.

If i should choose 3 of my favorite song in it, I will go for:
-Rocky Road To Dublin. For oblivious reason.
-Marie's Wedding. love the vocals. This hopping effect they do is really awesome.(if i can call it this way)
-Irish Pub Song, It make me happy every time and it's lyrically memorable.

Of course those choice reflect my personality and probably that if you ask me this question in a month or so, it will be different. In short, I love This Album, I love Irish music. It's make me feel like there is a warm flame inside my chest. It's make me feel good. It's make me feel happy.

I'll let you with two songs of this album, I didn't talk about theme but there's not less lovely.
