Sound City

I was looking back on article I've been making recently and this whole thing about videos series and movie give me some ideas. I have a bunch of movies and documentary about musics, bands, artists, and events that I love to watch and buy. It was just a mater of time that I will share it with you guy.

So, what's is Sound city?
To summarize it, it's the story of a recording studio where legend of music come to create some of the best albums made, but what made it the best place to record also sign is end. During this documentary, we follow stories of this place through memories of staff members and musical legend like Neil Young, Stevie Nick from Fleetwood Mac, and Dave Grohl from Nirvana and foo fighters who's also the director of this documentary. 

The documentary in itself is really interesting, I love the editing and how and how they introduce every member they interviewed. It can be long for those who are not into this kind of thing, it's a solid 2h30 with really few break.

The Albums
As you can see, I got the album after purchasing because the version of the documentary I got didn't come together. I don't think there is a box set of it for now. I'm really disappointed by the case, it's in Cardboard, the disk is really hard tu pull out of it, the corner deteriorate really fast and it fit too tight in CD's tower.

Well, at least the case dosent represent what's inside, I And by that, I mean the music. This Album is freaking good. The quality is obviously gorgeous and the song they pull out are really nice. The whole Album Is a huge collaboration to commemorate the studio, the memories and the new location of the equipment into the hand of Grohl.

My article is getting long, so I gonna place only one two song here. It was not an easy task to chose a song to represent the whole album, because every song have his own identity, according to who's played it. So I decided to go with one of my favorites.

Time Slow Down. 2012-13
Featuring Dave Grohl, Tim Commerford, Chris Goss and Brad Wilk. The song in itself is hard to describe. It's like everyone in the band played with a different personality instead of a collective and for some reason it work. It's really impressive. 

A Trick With No Sleeve. 2012-13
Yeah, I could not talk about this album without this song. It's probably the most memorable of the whose album. we hare nor far from what the Foo Fighters do in general with the special touch of Alain Johannes. It remember a bis of one of his song called Luna A Sol. This song featured Grohl, Josh Home and Alain Johannes.
