In search of inspiration

Like a more growing part of the society, I'm one of those who love top table role playing games, and with the time, I become what we call a Dungeon master, or game master depending witch who you speak with.

Tonight, I will present you some bands who inspire me the most in creation of those rpg's games.

Myrath
This band is quite interesting in itself. From Tunisia, They play Metal heavily influenced by the local folkloric music (Desert kind, I don't really know the name) This band is up since 2001 and was know before under the name X-Tazy. They have 5 albums under this name which the last one, name Shehili out in 2019.

Personally I herd about them around 2012 or 2014 with the album Tale of the Sands. Myrath always inspired me to create tales of forgotten civilisation where heroes balance their will against madness and despair... ...and obviously adventure un desert.

Heilung
This one have been introduce to me pretty recently by my friend Dom. This band is an oddity on the musical sphere, I never see a band playing such a thing. Tribal, ancestral, I don't really know hot to call it, the sound and look like they're right from the bronze age playing on bones and beating shields. The only thing missing is a torn SPQR emblem.

I dont thing I need to explain why it inspire me further. Queue the video.

Worldclock
One of the most interesting thing to do as a Game master, is to trow light in a new world, but, what I love the most about it, is the shadow. And what is the most suitable for writing about the underworld than Dark Ambiant music... I discover whats was this kind of musics and the peoples who create it  few years ago. Before that, it was not something I considered to use to create outside of an Halloween setting. I learn to appreciate it while writing daily to increase my skill's in storytelling. It's like having a pose button on scenery I have in mind. With that music I can imagine every details of a crime scene to the smallest drop of blood, and strangely enough, all in tone of grey.

Worldclock is one of my favorite artist in this genre, and the album Herald is the one I listen the most. I love it so mush that I... I was about to say that I was looking to buy it, but it's done. I'm waiting for it to come. It's impulsive, I know, but it's the 6th or 7 time I told me the same thing, so now it's done.
