Chemin de terre, by Stivell

So... my local record store send me this. (i know it sound weird, but its true)
picture by Exhor (sorry for the reflection)

It's an album publish in 1973 from Alan Stivell, and to describe it in few words, it's a mix of Folk-Celtic with an inch of rock peculiar from this period. The band if from France, but even if you don't speak french you will appreciate it since maybe half of the song are instrumental and the second half in Breton language.

As you cas see, it's an old record, but I consider there is so mush music from the past who deserved to be listened that I made my goal of it to give them a review with the eyes of someone who rediscover it whit new interest.

First impression? Dang it's good!  It's quietly astonishing how they mix those styles. And yes, I'm bias, Those music's style are already in head of what I like, even when not mixed together. what i found the most interesting about it, is that we get easily carried by the music to the time without feeling surrounded by dusty brown corduroy, if you know what i mean...

Appreciation note: 7 and half  out of 10.
If you like mixing thing up and/or exploring music, there is a good chance you'll like it!

here's an example of this album: Ian Morrisson Reel
